Teamwork and talent are the key elements to the culture, and it is recognised that it is people who galvanise success and drive the business forward at all levels.Reporting to the Operations and Supply Chain Director, the focus of this position is to manage and develop group quality strategy, internally and externally, within the supply base to drive world-class levels of product quality performance, process management and environmental and ethical standards.

Reponsibilities include:managing and developing the organisational quality processes, driving improvements in product and process quality in close liaison with third-party suppliers and internal manufacturing and distribution teams, developing supplier quality management throughout the global supply base through effective process management and coordination with the Supplier Quality Engineering teams, developing and implementing and maintaining adherence to key quality, environmental and ethical standards throughout the business and the supply base - potentially recruiting and working with an Environment & Sustainability Manager. You will also have accountability for managing, leading and developing the organisation’s quality teams across supply chain management and manufacturing [coordinating domestic and internationally-based direct reports and external consultants], development and implementation of a Six Sigma-based, customer focused approach to quality systems across the supply chain and applying the quality strategy to the prevailing commercial environment alongside the development of an efficient and effective supply chain. The focus is on continuous improvement activities throughout the supply chain, utilising Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques.

Of graduate calibre, preferably with exposure to Six Sigma Black Belt, the successful individual will possess a demonstrable track record within a similar quality function in a medium-large organisation (including experience of successfully implementing quality systems ISO9001 and 14001), the ability to make decisions and initiate action based on analytical focus and commercial awareness and excellent inter-personal, presenting and persuasive skills. They will have a tough mental approach, positive outlook and the ability to react positively to a continuously changing and evolving environment. Results driven, you will be strategically focused and driven by meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
