REPORTS TO: Group VP with dotted line to Group Lean Manager

THE ROLE
• The Group Quality Manager will lead the drive for world-class quality excellence through the implementation of the Group Quality Plan working with the operating sites around Europe at both a strategic and tactical level.
• As a member of the Group Management Team, the Group Quality Manager will promote a culture of quality and acceptance of change through working with staff at all levels throughout the operating businesses in Europe
• The Group Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the compliance with customer contracts and maintaining quality assurance standards, procedures and controls to meet ISO 9000 and TS 16949 requirements
• Establish, participate in and lead cross-functional/group quality improvement teams to improve overall quality, customer satisfaction and loyalty throughout all regions
• Collaboration with the Supply Chain organisations of Group operations to ensure improvement initiatives are delivered
• Develop and implement across the Group standard Quality System Tools such as FMEA, Control Plans and Six Sigma throughout all product development and manufacturing phases
• The Group Quality Manager will ensure each plant has a quality management system which significantly improves operational performance with regard to the KPI’s on delivery, cost and quality
• Monitor, measure and report to the Group Executive on the status and performance of the Group with regard to the quality management system, continuous improvement and quality measures.
• Manage the quality audit programme, establish best practice and benchmark against competitors, share knowledge and latest practices across the Group
KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• The successful Group Quality Manager will have significant quality management experience along with relevant experience of leading and delivering cultural change and quality improvement programmes within a complex manufacturing environment
• Experience of implementing TQM, Lean or Six Sigma initiatives with the ability to provide instruction on widely used quality tools
• Ideally Six Sigma Black Belt, MBA , with relevant technical degree qualification.
• Thorough knowledge of international standard ISO 9001 system along with QS-9000,
ISO/TS 16949 or AS9100
• It is essential that the Group Quality Manager will be an exceptional communicator, with the ability to lead, coach, teach and convince others and achieve buy in to secure results
• Must be able to commit to international travel of up to 80% of the time
