Head of Bid Management

Rullion Engineering Personnel is working with a UK leader in the provision of effective technical support in all aspects of the nuclear industry. The business is now very profitable with £4-5million EBIT from a turnover of £77million. Over the next 12 months, the client will undergo significant change; however there is a clear commitment to the development of the business and a rapidly expanding marketplace. The client in question is in the unique position of having a lot of work where they are the only organisation who can deliver the necessary solution. However, there are significant areas where other companies (both within the UK and Europe, but also outside these areas) are able to competitively tender.

The role of Head of Bid Management is to generate bid activity in a coordinated, effective manner, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both the customers and competitors. Key to success will be a clear notion of the client’s unique selling points, the long-term commercial benefits of partnership agreements, and ultimately overall company profitability. It is also expected that the Head of Bid Management will build effective networks across the industry to engender unique bids. In order to be considered, you will have extensive experience within the nuclear industry, a proven track record in the development and delivery of profitable bids and will have a high level of personal integrity.
