Head of Childrenswear Design

Well established and leading retailer throughout Europe with over a thousand stores is seeking an experienced Head of Design for their childrenswear division. This leading retailer with plans to expand further into new markets over the next few years is looking for an experienced Head of Design with a good eye for product.

Your role will be integral in the design, planning, organising, coordinating and providing input into the collection building activities of a range of clothing articles for your division in order to contribute to a profitable collection that is in line with the target population's needs and wishes and that supports the brands image.

We want to hear from experienced designers who have managed large teams of designers and have a history in visiting fashion fairs and institutes with good commercial awareness at monitoring competitors. The ideal candidate would have prior experience working for childrenswear retail or have worked within this field before.

You will be interfacing with the Head of Buying and other designers to build the collection. To be successful in this role you must have an autonomous background in colour direction, trend direction, fabric direction, style direction and overall collection concept.
