Head of Customer Logistic Support
Bedfordshire - East Anglia
Our client is a leading company in the defence industry which supplies integrated system solutions to the UK MOD and defence forces. They are looking to recruit a Head of Customer Logistic Support to develop strategy for the capture and delivery of Customer Logistics Support prime contracts in the land domain.
The Head of Customer Logistic Support will:
+ Be responsible for driving the engineering and technology vision and strategy to align with the business vision
+ Identify sources of CLS capabilities that will enable our client to provide a full partnering solution for CLS prime contracts
+ Leadi and securing the captiure of the CLS contractsfor the land platform programs and bids
+ Build the required resource pool within our client to successfully deliver to the CLS prime
+ Lead the implementation of strategies and taking the functional lead for all CLS and ILS activities within the clients projects
+ Manage the staff development and appraisal process along side the engineering and quality functional managers
The Head of Customer Logistic Support will need:
+ A degree in Scientific or Engineering discipline or equivalent
+ Significant working within the support domain and a lead engineer or delivery manager
+ To be a proactive team-builder who can motivate and lead by example
+ To be a skilled manager who can anticipate problems and plan to mitigate them
+ To be an able communicator in both verbal, written and presentational forms
+ To be a Finisher – who delivers what he commits to do
+ To be able to manage and work within agreed budgets
+ To be a strong organizer who gets the most out of his people by keeping them directed and focused
+ A deep understanding of the Development lifecycle, and of relevant toolsets;
