Our client is a global financial services organisation with operations across 26 countries globally. As a result of continued expansion they are now looking to hire a key individual to manage numerous key projects across the business. This individual will be the key link between finance and technology and will have the responsibility for the project management (design, development and implementation of finance system solutions to meet the performance information and process need of the Finance function and the Business.

This individual will work with FP&A to identify and prioritise preferred strategies that may span Budgeting and Forecasting, Activity Based Costing, General Ledger /Non Financial Reporting and Closing Corporate Submission processes and concepts, engaging appropriate IT, vendors and GDCs to deliver preferred solutions.

The focus is on delivering enterprise or standardised solutions that can benefit all businesses within the Banking group and cope with a regularly changing footprint


Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

• Define the roadmap for integrated solutions and agree priorities/budgets with key stakeholders.
• Design a long-term view of Finance information architecture and ensure projects progressively deliver integrated architecture enhancements on shared infrastructure.
• Liaise with IT in relation to data warehouse strategies and development to ensure that Finance and Business approaches deliver an enterprise model supporting mutual needs
• Manage execution of information delivery strategies - on time, on budget utilizing appropriate project rigour engaging appropriate IT/vendors/GDC partners.
• Identify appropriate change management strategies including risk mitigation.
• Define ongoing support/maintenance strategies

Qualifications:

• Strategic and complex project management experience – 3 years
• Small team leadership experience
• Solid grounding in Finance, operational and business processes
• Exposure to Finance Services platforms, information management solutions (e.g. data warehouse technology) and Finance applications.
• Tertiary education – Commerce/IT preferred
• Sound communication and presentation skills
• Strong customer focus and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple deliverables within budget and resource constraints.
