Are you capable of protecting the financial health of this medium, successful, innovative and very ambitious building society based in the South East of England?
As part of our client’s business strategy for 2010 they now wish to recruit a “Head of Finance and Business Assurance who will have responsibilities to include -
Acting as an approved person to carry out the necessary controlled functions under the Financial Services and Markets act 2000
Ensuring continuing compliance with the FSA’s principals as well as the fit and proper criteria for approved persons
Assessing and controlling the society’s exposure to business risks
Controlling the society’s financial affairs, ensuring appropriate planning and procedures are in place
Assisting the Financial Director in developing strategy, setting budgets, cost controls, and measuring performance against objectives.
Candidates should clearly demonstrate –
Graduate or equivalent, with accountancy qualifications and ideally with an MBA
Commercial awareness and business development with a thorough understanding of organisations and people
Determination to drive for results and the achievement of objectives and goals
Substantial experience of financial management at a senior level to include experience gained within financial services and change management
