HEAD OF FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
Based in Johannesburg
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, you will be required to support the global finance community to ensure good financial management throughout the organisation by setting standards and providing guidance, tools and training materials and by overseeing compliance and by sharing best practice. Managing the team of Finance Coordinators and Analysts that support the Global Teams and other Directorates, including Communications, Programmes and Organisational Effectiveness, in delivery and monitoring of compliance against global standards, systems and processes as well as capacity building.
A strategic mind set is required, delegating where appropriate, to review and develop financial systems enabling implementation and maintenance of global policies, processes and standards. A 'value for money' approach is consistent throughout the organisation utilising all available resources. A large part of your responsibility with be to support the global finance community, including places such as Hong Kong and Brazil, therefore your flexibility to travel for up to 10 weeks per year will be appreciated.
You will ideally have worked as a business partner within a large global organisation. You will be a strong and confident communicator with the ability to influence others to drive the department forward and personally be looking to progress your career within the organisation. You will hold a Professional Accounting qualification and have experience of working on an international scale. Being a people focused and driven individual, you will take ownership of this role and motivate those around you offering support and training where required.
