Head of Flight Operations / Pilot
Oxfordshire - South East
Our client is working on a large PFI programme and they are looking to recruit a Head of Flight Operations which will lead to the award of an Air Operator's Certificate and Operating Licence.
The Head of Flight Operations / Pilot will:
+ Responsibility for the delivery of the projects Fleet Operations leading to the award of the companies civil approvals
+ Deliver the projects Crewing Service
+ Deliver the projects Training Service
+ Assist in the development of the relevant sections of the projects cost model and business plan
+ Prepare plans to support the introduction of the project into service
+ Manage and mitigate risks within the Flight Operations functional area
+ Act as our clients contact for all flight operations matters with the CAA and other regulatory bodies
+ Act as our clients contact with the MOD for operational, training, and crewing matters
The Head of Flight Operations / Pilot will:
+ Be acceptable to the CAA as a Nominated Post Holder for Flight Operations iaw JAR Ops 1.175
+ Have relevant Military or Civil senior management experience in military or civil aviation
+ Have detailed knowledge of civil regulatory regimes and proven experience in achieving an AOC
+ Be a holder of current ATPL (A) with A330 Type Rating (current or lapsed)
+ Be Class 1 medical
+ Be a Type Rating Instructor, ideally for A330
+ Have detailed knowledge of EU OPS1, JAR FCL1 and RAF regulatory regimes
+ Have Experience of military or civil flightcrew training
+ Be capable of engendering confidence in the Customer
+ Ideally be an experienced Military air transport pilot
+ Ideally have supervisory experience in either an airline or on a Military AT or AAR sqn
