Head of Group IT Architecture

This is a real decision making role at the heart of IT in one of the largest FS companies.

The role sits at group level and has responsibility for defining group IT architectural frameworks and roadmaps for applications, security and infrastructure. Key to success is providing leadership and setting strategy for delivery of IT Architecture across the group, and thus to achieve group IT strategic objectives. This will involve clearly defining the IT direction and supporting investments required, and support them through to business case. This is a highly proactive role, which is about leading the agenda – working closely with senior level group IT leaders and divisional chief IT architects.

Candidates will be senior technologists with a combination of skills: a strong technology background; a strong business perspective; and strong influencing and impact skills to drive the overall direction of the IT landscape in a major corporation. Candidates will have a background and experience in major corporations with a highly complex IT estate; in either a senior level IT architecture role, or a CTO role; or with a consulting or systems integrator/ IT services company. Of key importance is exposure and experience of a wide range of technologies across applications, infrastructure and security.
