Head of Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear

Rullion Engineering Personnel is working with an exciting performer in the nuclear market, with design, test and manufacturing capability. Due to expansion, they are looking for an engineering manager / head of engineering to provide, develop and deploy technical capability and resource at optimum effectiveness and ultimately to ensure accuracy of relevant processes and technical integrity. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the entire engineering function, and will deliver 50-60% of the total company turnover. It is therefore a key appointment in the ongoing development of the business. KPIs will include quality standards, client satisfaction, budget management and time versus cost ratios. His/her departmental responsibilities will include mechanical, control & instrumentation, software and electrical engineering. Due to the broad nature of the role, we are looking for a multi-disciplinary nuclear engineer, who can translate customer requirements into workable engineering briefs. The strongest candidates will be chartered mechanical engineers whilst demonstrating a diverse skills-base and strong nuclear engineering experience. Exceptional man management skills, coupled with the ability to manage multiple, interdependent projects and build strong business relationships is absolutely essential.
