Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of Missile and Missile systems. They are now looking to recruit a Head of Media Relations UK.
The Role - Head Of Media Relations UK required to support the Group Head Of Media Relations and Editorial Communications in the management of UK Media Relations within the framework of the communication plan.
Accountabilities:
- Define, propose for validation and implement an external communications strategy for the UK audience and its yearly communications plan to meet Company, CEO, MD, Programmes and Marketing challenges/strategic objectives and targeting the relevant audiences.
- Develop and maintain an up to date network of national media correspondents, Defence and governmental community stakeholders to ensure a regular and appropriate communication and feedback of/for the company.
- Manage the the organisation of any press activities in the UK in accordance with the communications plan
- Prepare, write and propose for validation the requested material for media distribution, press release, briefings, backgrounders.
- Sustain and develop a high profile and understanding of our client in the UK, its ambitiion, programmes and initiatives.
- Support regularly the reputation management tool with the relevant inputs in order to monitor and assess media relations performance in the UK
- Participate and support to the permanently updated Q&A tool for information circulation co-ordination within communications regarding any issue or topics from the company in order to provide team with the "line to take" and company position.
The Candidate - You will be an experienced manager with high level writing & editing experience and technical background. You will have an in-depth knowledge of international defence industry, its customers and products. You will also have the ability to manage and operate in an international environment.
The Package - £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
