Head of Online Marketing - Developing Markets

To be responsible for the online marketing of the European Developing markets (including NL, ES, DK, NO, SE, BE and IE) of this world renowned website.

This individual will be an integral part of the Developing markets team and play an important part in the management of the Developing Markets business. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this individual main responsibility is to drive the performance of online marketing activities.

This role requires analytical and financial skills as well as the ability to challenge the status quo. The individual should have a creative analytical mindset which can identify new ways of approaching online marketing initiatives. This individual will work closely with the marketing managers to ensure implementation of best practice, and drive the business towards meeting its strategic goals.

Key Areas Of Responsibility:

- Ownership: Manage Online Marketing for Expedia Developing Markets, taking ownership of the operational goals and all relevant strategic initiatives.
- Support: The Head of Online marketing will work closely with the Marketing Director in setting budgets and targets for the online channels.
- Strategy and execution: Define and implement a sales driven Online Marketing strategy whose objective will be to maximize the growth of the Developing Markets while meeting the efficiency and profitability targets. This individual will optimize the use of the various online marketing drivers.
- Project Management: This individual needs to be able to manage the loop of: Idea - Analysis - Insight - Action - Report/Follow-up -Learn and roll/out.
- Sharing practice: This individual will be driving innovation and foster best practice identification and sharing across all the pos.
- Analysis and Implementation: This individual will analyze all aspects of the online performance and its effect on the P&L. This required the ability to challenge existing practices, and view them from different angles.

Criteria:

- University Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience of online marketing
- Must demonstrate particularly strong and detailed knowledge of the core online marketing disciplines, and in particular search.
- Fluency in at least one European language as well as English.
- Experience working with large e-commerce brands would be beneficial.
- Having a highly analytical mindset and strong financial acumen.
- Experience managing large budgets.
