Head of Operational Change
The City - London
My client is a leading asset manager based in the City, London. We are looking to recruit a Head of Operational Change on a permanent basis. This role will be a central role within the Middle Office function.
Salary: £70k – £90k + 25 – 50% bonus
Role Purpose
Operational Change Delivery
• To provide a professional operational project management and business analysis service for the Investment and Distribution divisions. To deliver projects including:
• Development of new Operating Models and improvements to existing Operating Models (including non-standard product launches and client requests as appropriate).
• Regulatory changes impacting on Operations.
• Introduction of new instruments and investments.
• Process and system improvements for the Investment or Distribution teams and for Middle Office Operations.
• To manage the delivery of third party service providers on Operational Change projects.
Operational Consultancy
• To provide operational expertise and assistance on corporate projects, complementing the Business Solutions Team by providing technical operational expertise.
• To provide early involvement from the Middle Office on changes requested by Investment and Distribution.
Programme Management Support
• To support Programme Office teams with programming, scheduling and oversight of changes. Member of the Joint Change Committee and the Middle Office Programming Meeting, which are responsible for programming and scheduling change.
• To ensure adequate delivery capability for all projects to support delivery of operational change and the Middle Office programmes.
Team Leadership and Middle Office Management
• To develop the capabilities of the Operational Change Team. Coach and support all team members to grow their contribution to the business.
• To implement effective monthly Management Information reporting.
• To adhere to management policies and procedures.
Skills & Knowledge
• IMC or other appropriate professional qualification or equivalent
• Project or Programme Management qualification or equivalent
• Management consultancy experience highly desirable
• Extensive experience of leading & delivering successful business projects and programmes including clear track record of delivering significant business change
• Significant experience in the investment management industry.
• Extensive proven experience in a role with people management responsibilities.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of investment management processes and systems
