Our Client who is a Leading Financial Institution is seeking a Head of Operations to assume operational responsibility for the organisation’s branch network to faciliate the delivery of ambitious financial, customer service and efficency targets.

Key accountabilities are:

• The development of IT systems and functionality for the branch network
• Development of strategies to deliver to Board approved Operating Plans
• Effective budget management
• Ensuring the branches adhere to FSA compliance standards
• Management of the the branch property portfolio and any planned refurbishments
• Responsibility of the Branch model,forecasting program and establishment levels
• Effectively lead corporate and departmental projects
• Effective organisation of seminars and local events
• Main liasion for operational issues with other departments including the direction and influencing of other Heads of departments and senior management.
• Analyse internal and competitor MI and make recommendations at senior management level
• Complaint monitoring
• Resolving and implementation of solutions for any operational issues identified from mystery shops
• Manage the overall risk within the department ensuring all data and documentation is stored, held and communicated securely
• Manage an develop the team, providind direction and support for personal development.
• Ensure that all staff have a broad awareness of issues that can impact on TCF outcomes.
• Satisfy the orgnanisation’s internal and external auditors in all matters of operational competence and risk.
• Ownership of the the Cash Management process and procedures.
• Manage the overall risk within the department to ensure that all data and documentation is stored, held and communicated securely.
• All organisations employees are required to pay due regard to the interests of its customers and treat them fairly
• To ensure that all staff are aware of the principles of TCF


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Previous financial services experience at Operational Management level
Requires good leadership skills and ability to inspire and influence the performance of managers and staff.
Must have a proven track record in the development and delivery of effective IT systems established over a five to eight year period.
Educated to a degree standard or with an equivalent professional qualification.
An appropriate professional project management qualification (Prince II or Association of Project Management APM) or at least five years Project Management experience.
Experience of Six Sigma or other business change strategies
Excellent organisational ability and communication skills.
Must have experience of developing operational strategies and formulating strategic reports to Senior Management level
Project and change management experience
High level influencing and negotiation skills
Proficient communication skills
