Head of Operations - Military Aviation Training

Our client, a 50:50 joint venture, operates 60 helicopters supporting a variety of training, operational and search and rescue operations around the world. Their team of 76 helicopter instructors and 380 engineers work in partnership with military and government operators. In addition they provide aviation related support services and facilities.

Reporting to the Managing Director and as part of the management tem you will be responsible for the Operations function which includes 90 aircrew and associated departments such as Ground School and Simulator Instructors employed across three military flying / training stations.

In addition you will expected to contribute to the company's strategy development, bid and commercial functionality.

You will also act as the liaison between the company and the CAA, taking responsibility for all CAA matters.

You will have experience as a pilot both in military and civilian domains, with extensive man-management experience. You will have a demonstrable record of developing business development opportunities and be able to bring your commercial experience, adding value to a military orientated business.
