My client are entrusted with improving the transportation service for a whole region by fully developing an integrated transport system for the benefit of the people who live and work there. If you wish to be part of a high profile project that will leave a legacy and you have senior programme management experience within transportation this could be the new challenge your are waiting for.
Nature and Scope
The primary role of this position is to deliver directly, or through third parties, approved projects to budget, programme deadlines and agreed standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for project controls, change management, planning, assurance, standards and integration. This is not a pure project delivery position as your reporting lines will be at the sharp end but you will be responsible for setting the strategy and best practice for your project managers to adhere to.
Education and Experience
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a senior manager and effective leader in a complex organisation with experience of working within or alongside the public sector and a clear understanding of the relevant processes, constraints and duties. Maintaining progress on different projects whilst responding to the competing priorities and demands of the different project teams. You will be a team player with the ability to influence individuals while appreciating the bigger picture with regards to being able to see the future implications of current project decisions and anticipate and assess risks.
