Head of Project Management

Fast growing and award winning UK owned IT managed services firm .

Looking for head of Project / Programme Management.

This is a new role, created through ongoing growth and reporting to the Director Client Service.

Based near Egham, West London, our client is looking for:-

The Person:-

• A university degree/diploma, preferably in an IT or Business related subject.
• 7 years + experience of Team Management.
• Qualified in and experience of best practice methodologies such as Prince 2 Practitioner / AMP / Six Sigma.
• Solid understanding and experience working in an ITIL adherent environment.
• 10 years + experience as a Project & Programme Manager.
• Excellent client facing skills with experience in owning client relationships.
• 7 + years experience in an Infrastructure Management and / or Managed Services environment.
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills required.
• Process focused with the ability to identify improvements and act as change catalyst.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet realistic deadlines.
• Must exhibit a flexible, hands-on and can-do approach.
• Strong breadth and depth of experience in delivering complicated business critical infrastructure solutions.
• Ability to report professionally and accurately on all matters including cost accuracy and controls.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels with high levels of commercial astuteness.
• Team player with depth and personal drive, matched by ability to achieve results.

Responsibilities:-

• Reporting to the Director of Client Services.
• Management of team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
• Overall responsibility of the entire project portfolio from a financial, quality and deadline perspective.
• Ensure strict process adherence and correct controls are in place for each project.
• Ownership of the Solution Implementation process.
• Define and manage continue improvement to Solution Implementation process and Project Management toolset .
• Contribute to cross company delivery resource planning .
• Involvement in new business presentations and proposal creation.
• Continual measurement and improvement of project based client (external and internal) satisfaction

Salary £60-65k base depending upon experience, 13.5% bonus (always been paid), pension, healthcare, Insurances, Gym membership, 25 days holiday.

The roles are Staines based, but will require travel to clients as required. Home-working is supported.
