Part of a global leading healthcare corporation this successful company develops and manufactures sterile, bulk vaccines for the treatment of influenza. Their UK manufacturing plant is state of the art, employs around 250 and is on its third generation of product. They supply to export markets being fully FDA and MHRA accredited.
The Head of Quality is fully responsible, through a team of ten, for compliance and all quality systems throughout the site, working alongside a QC Director responsible for product testing.
The current Head of Quality is moving to another site necessitating his replacement. As well as day to day management the Head of Quality will play a leading part in the upgrade of the plant, with a spend of £40m, and spearhead a fundamental change in processes, with quality moving to source and being embedded in the manufacturing work cells.
The role will require an experienced Senior Quality Manager, QP registered, with a background in biologics, preferably vaccines.
