Head of Sales - Covert Communications

A highly specialised organisation who create secure radio communications and counter-communications equipment for the police and law enforcement agencies are expanding their sales function.

The primary purpose of the Head of Sales:
+ Take Customer orders from upstream commercial actions through to downstream sales completion.
+ Canvassing new prospects
+ Detect and grasp opportunities and optimise the probability of making sales.
+ Reply to calls for tender, make unsolicited offers, win contracts & orders.
+ Develop customer relationships by steering, managing, motivating & monitoring actions to optimise business development.
+ Maintain customer follow-up by predicting customer expectations & needs.
+ Acquire information for use in marketing
+ Develop & maintain knowledge of the customer environment & competition.

Key Tasks of the Head of Sales:
+ To act as the UK Sales Manager for VHF / HF / UHF / Wifi & Tetra Land based Communication Products & Systems.
+ Responsible for management of personnel order intake forecasting and capture planning.
+ Driving sales opportunities through the bidding process to successful completion.

Technical & Professional skills:
+ Ability to sell Communications products & systems to MoD & various security and law enforcement agencies.

Education & Qualifications:
+ HND/Degree or equivalent in business studies or engineering related subject.
