Our client, part of a large and well-known International Group, is a market leader in the supply of a range of building solutions to the commercial, industrial, leisure, public and residential construction sectors. The company, which has an excellent reputation for product quality, technical support and customer service, is seeking to appoint a high calibre Head of Sales to contribute to the delivery of ambitious growth plans.
Leading a team of Regional Sales Managers along with an internal estimating function, this role will have responsibility for developing and implementing a strategy to drive profitable sales growth across the company’s key markets within the UK. The emphasis of the role will be on providing clear direction, guidance and sales management support whilst promoting the company and winning new business by working directly with customers including design consultants, developers and major contractors.
Candidates, ideally degree qualified in a construction, building or engineering-related discipline, will have proven sales management experience gained in the building products sector. The ability to lead and motivate a professional field sales team is prerequisite and candidates will demonstrate the competence to build trust and confidence amongst a varied customer group through the provision of sound commercial and technical advice. A track record of sales growth gained through the deployment of modern sales management tools and techniques is also a key requirement.
