In response to growing demand within the business, a senior manager is required to head the Supply chain and Procurement operations. This position will be based at the manufacturing site in the North West. Given the highly technological nature of the business there are many interfaces which need to be managed by the job holder, the key ones being the manufacturing site management team and the parent group.

Your key tasks will be as follows:

• Developing and implementing effective sourcing and supply chain strategies in support of group and site activities.
• Support the Group Central Purchasing to align regional and global organisation structure to maximise achievement of sourcing objectives.
• Apply best practice sourcing processes - supplier evaluation, selection and performance reporting, contract negotiation, price inflation management, and net total cost savings ratios.
• Align strategic sourcing and product engineering efforts for supplier qualification, new product development and value analysis/value engineering opportunities.
• Take ultimate control for all external expenses within annual budget expectations


Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position you should be experienced and have the gravitas to work at a senior level and have a significant background in the areas of Supply Chain / Procurement management. The following skills are required:

• Supply Chain / Procurement professional; MCIPS or equivalent experience.
• In-depth understanding of world-class supply chain execution incorporating a good understanding of global logistics and distribution management.
• Demonstrable ability to drive change and continuous improvement in a global environment using communication skills to support the needs of a multi-national organisation.
• Leadership skills, facilitation skills, analytical skills, training skills, and global mindset are all necessary attributes.
• Experience in manufacturing at senior level.

Remuneration
£70,000 to £90,000 dependent on experience. Executive package including Car, Pension and Bonus scheme.
