Head of Supply Chain
Berkshire - South East, Thames Valley
Superb opportunity to join a leading global technology company as Head of Supply Chain. This is an international role where you will be responsible for ensuring supply chain process, organisation and capabilities meet the current and future needs of internal and external customers.
Our client is aiming to become 'best in class' for supply chain management and still has a long way to go in terms of developing and implementing improvements across their business. As Head of Supply Chain, you would be instrumental in driving a number of supply chain process improvement initiatives, setting up objectives for major transformation work to be undertaken by each region.
With your team, you would promote more involvement & better communications with individual business units and in the pre-sales phase where required to ensure understanding of unit cost and enhance the delivery of IT and Network Service products.
Key skills required:
Strong supply chain experience and/or knowledge of general supply chain/logistics principles is essential
Ability to define and implement strategies in addition to managing day to day activities
Strong working knowledge of project management & problem solving
Ability to operate within pressurised environments and to be able to make tough decisions
Able to take the initiative, have plenty of self-motivation and be a team player
Supply Chain operations experience
Knowledge of supply chain concepts and tools such as value stream mapping, business process redesign, lean, six sigma, modelling and simulation, cycle time, reduction, facility layout design etc would be a distinct advantage
