Head of Tax Conferences

We have an exciting opportunity to become Head of Tax Conferences for a major B2B conferencing organisation. This position is a one year contract as maternity cover.
The purpose of the role is to identify opportunities for conferences, courses and briefings within tax and accounting, and to oversee all aspects of conference production from the choice of topic, to the recruitment of the speakers, to the approval of the marketing plan.
You will have a team of three producers reporting to you, and you must drive topic generation ensuring all events are commercially viable. It will be your responsibility to ensure all production deadlines are realistic and met on time. You will also be expected to maintain the production schedule and the Working Forecast to ensure it always contains the relevant financial information.
The ideal candidate will have previous conference experience in managing a technical area. There will be a significant advantage to those already working in the tax field. While this is a one year contract the prospects for the future will be very bright and may lead to further employment.
