Head of Tendering

Our client is a market leader in delivering rail Infrastructure services in Europe. Their UK business offers a total solution to the Railway Infrastructure market from Urban Rail, High Speed Rail Services. Due to the success of their business they are now in a position to recruit three senior Project Managers into their Projects Division.
The Role
The business is now is a position to appoint a Head of Tendering. You will be responsible for the timely production of tenders and bids for our Projects & Engineering business units. You will be the professional head and advisor for estimating, planning and tendering.
Responsibilities
· To Provide support to the Procurement and Resourcing Director in obtaining acceptable and commercially viable quotations and pricing in support of estimates and give support, direction and guidance to others using the Estimating, planning and cost management tools.
· Ensure all costs, prices and estimates are accurately included within the estimating and cost management tools.
· Providing estimates, cost and times for risks and hazards included within tenders.
· Providing assistance and guidance with Target Cost levels, Fixed cost and pain–gain mechanisms.
· Provide financial analysis of the estimate for senior management review and approval.
· Providing cost codes, cost breakdown structures and costing systems to meet corporate and Client needs.
· Providing management reports and information on a regular basis
· Providing programming, planning and resource profiles to support tender generation
Experience
Ideally you will have a proven track record of working on major Bids & Tenders for a contractor, track renewals would be desirable. You will have worked on Bids & Tenders to the value of £20 - £30 million and be highly proficient in leading and managing teams. The successful incumbent will be required to present at board level and also to external stake holders.
