Our client is an internationally renowned c£1 billion turnover diversified infrastructure business and a leader in its field. It is currently embarking on a major reorganisation to bring the business closer to the customer, push accountability down the line and reduce the cost base. Key to ensuring the success of this change programme is the appointment of two high-calibre solutions oriented HR professionals to build a best practice, commercially focused function designed to meet the business goals.
Reporting to the HR Director, your role will be to champion the organisational
changes within one of the business units and help line managers deliver continuous improvements in operational efficiency and customer care.
You will lead a team of professionals in establishing leading-edge HR policies,
procedures and approaches. Your main priorities will be to provide a customer focused HR service which ensures the effective deployment of resources and provision of training and development to support business goals whilst managing payroll costs. One of the key criteria of your success will be the measurable impact you have in creating a working environment which enhances staff performance and attracts and retains the best available talent.
Intellectually and commercially astute, you will combine a “can do” attitude with a progressive HR track record in either rapid growth/turnaround bluechip service related businesses or unionised environments. You will have a firm grasp of customer service and employment relations issues and have had demonstrable success managing change programmes. Whilst expertise in HR operations, resourcing, training and development is essential, you will also need the flexibility, drive and leadership qualities to inspire confidence in a fast changing results driven environment
