This is a superb opportunity for a HR Director to join the UK leader in its field. The industry is akin to professional services, heavily sales orientated and the company employs 3600 people across many locations across the UK. The UK business is headquartered in the City and a pivotal part of a Fortune Global 500 company.

You will manage an HR function that comprises HR, internal recruitment, and training and development. All three HR strands are critically important to support the company as it integrates recently acquired businesses and moves ahead as a streamlined, world-class organisation.

The role will be a blend of operational and strategy; you will help drive new and existing initiatives within managing diversity, talent development and human capital management, at the same time maintaining the wholly business-orientated approach that exists today across the function. You will be expected to act as Business Partner to the board, and to support everyday ER issues as appropriate according to the experience and capabilities of your team. You will join the senior management team and be capable of representing HR within board meetings and at a global level.

You will be expected to add genuine value to the business strategy and tactics through tried and tested HR projects, whether based on best practise or innovative ideas or both. You will lead key organisation design projects and implement key talent development and L & D initiatives, focussed on helping the business achieve its own objectives through its people.

You must be a fully experienced and CIPD qualified HR professional, with a wide range of knowledge. You will already be leading a large, multi-faceted HR function that includes organisation design, recruitment and L & D. Your HR background will be with large non-public sector organisations with a strong sales bias to their business. You must have an extremely good knowledge of employment law and be well versed in disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management issues. You will need to display natural dynamism, enthusiasm and a proven desire and capability to make a difference. The package is flexible, depending on experience and will comprise typical executive benefits.
