Drammen - Scandinavia
Title: HR Manager
Location: Drammen, Norway
The largest business unit in Norway with about 150 employees. The division is a strategic business unit in and global leader in commercial fire systems, smoke and gas detection, personal protective equipment, and home healthcare monitoring products.
Responsibilities:
• To ensure that HR good practice and people management issues are integrated into all business processes and contribute towards the achievement of business priorities for a defined client group.
• To drive and coordinate the labour and employee relations process with local unions and implement the strategic plan defining how employee/labour relations support the business objectives
• Understand the business culture and employee mindset to assist leadership in balanced decision making
• Implement Positive Employee Relations strategies for business cluster
• Demonstrate strong conflict management and resolution skills
• Participate in establishing and/or controlling HR budget, to ensure that the HR team provides a timely, proactive, professional and cost-effective service and advises in line with Company policies and procedures in order to support the achievement of business objectives and change management.
• To ensure that the annual performance and development reviews are completed in line with Company standards
Competencies
• Solid technical HR knowledge across a broad generalist scope, including familiarity with Norwegian legislation and regulations
• Demonstrated ability to understand and promote the linkage between business objectives and HR initiatives
• Experience in an HR business partner role - including strong influencing, partnership, networking, coaching and facilitation skills
Knowledge and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in appropriate field is required
• Have at least five years experience in an HR Manager role, preferably in an engineering environment
• Willing to travel
• Excellent communications skills in both Norwegian and English
