Human Computer Interface Lead Engineer
South East London - London
Our client is leading the pursuit of a multi-hundred million pound Government programme to deliver an IT enabled, transformed security capability for the UK. This will comprise significant large-scale project/programme management, design, development and implementation of state of the art secure systems and software. They are currently looking for a Human Computer Interface Engineer.
The Human Computer Interface Engineer -
-The Human Computer Interface (HCI) Lead Engineer will work within the Common Services team of the Solutions Design IPT.
-The common services software engineers will be responsible to the Technical Lead on the programme. The Common Services Team:
-Works closely with the test harness software development team establishing an interface to ensure that the development responds to the project needs.
-Establishes strong relationships with the programmes customer, key stakeholders, subcontractors, and Raytheon US counterparts.
-There will be formal project meetings and working groups and so candidates must be comfortable with collaborative working to develop an overall solution.
-Ensures that all engineering activities undertaken under their control are conducted to a common standard that reflects best practice, and are in accordance with CMMI as instantiated in RSL IPDS.
Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge
-Those with experience in some of the following areas will be considered:
-Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and demonstrable application of relevant methodologies and toolsets;
-Proven and successful track record in design and delivery of systems for major database intensive, system integration programmes;
-Proven and successful track record in teh design and implementation of HCIs for IS intensive systems;
-Solid Java skills, with experience in J2EE
-Design implementation in database intensive systems
-Software validation planning and implementation
Location - South East
Salary - £70,000
