Job Description
•To provide strategic leadership of the educational institution's ICT infrastructure and software development. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Leader responsible for ICT and lead the Network Management team.
•To lead the restructuring of the network to meet curriculum and administration needs
Key accountabilities
•To advise the Senior Leadership team on all matters relating to ICT infrastructure
•To lead the network management team to ensure the smooth running of the administration and curriculum networks
•To advise on and organise all hardware purchasing to ensure maximum effectiveness and value for money
•To ensure the efficacy of the whole educational institution's wireless network
•To organise the set up and maintenance of all the educational institution's hardware and software
•To organise system back-up and develop network security
•To provide leadership and training for the ICT support team
•To lead software introduction and organise and deliver training
•To support the operation of the SIMS MIS system and provide training for key staff in its use
•To research the educational institution's needs and advise on purchasing within ICT
•To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hardware and software
