ICT Service Delivery Manager
Job Purpose:
1) To manage the contract with the client's outsourced IT provider. This includes ensuring the contractor's performance complies with agreed service levels.
2) To provide an internal account management function
3) Monitoring £3m contract costs budgets with regard to IT managed services provider.
£750k delegated to post-holder with regard to licensing & maintenance costs
EXPERIENCE MANAGING COMPUTERCENTRE CONTRACT IN ANOTHER ROLE WOULD BE DESIRABLE!!
Also responsible for numerous maintenance and licensing contracts with third party providers (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft Civica and Northgate)
Main Tasks & Accountabilities (and approx. % for role)
1) Contract management (15%)
2) Internal Account Management (45%)
Managing the relationship between the Client's Services, their key business users of IT, and the Council's IT partner. This will include management of the change control process for on-going systems development and enhancements
3) Security Compliance (10%)
4) Project Management (20%)
e.g. EDRMS implementation, Oracle upgraded, additional Oracle modules etc
5) Staff Management (5%)
x2 full time staff
6) Service Optimisation (5%)
Essential
•Degree (IT or Maths/Science ideally)
•IT applications portfolio management, including knowledge of the full "systems life cycle" ideally in a public sector environment
•Develop and manage SLAs
•Internal account management experience including the I.D of business requirements.
•PRINCE 2 Practitioner
•Project Management experience (full lifecycle)
•IT security compliance knowledge.
•Strong written, verbal and negotiation skills
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand technical performance information and functional issues in the context of IT service delivery
•Experience in using Visio and MS Project and Microsoft Office.
•Staff management
•Local Government background
•ITIL (Desirable)
