OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE
•Manager of a team of desk-based account managers
•To lead the delivery of year-on-year growth and drive the right sales disciplines and behaviours in the team
•RETAIN UNDERLYING GROSS MARGIN by preventing loss of existing business
•INCREASE IN-YEAR GROSS MARGIN through new business and other margin delivery/recovery activity (eg back-billing, cost-out)
•MANAGE OVERDUE LEDGER through rapid intervention in billing queries and problematic collections
•MAKE THE COMPANY EASY TO DO BUSINESS WITH by being responsive to the customer and proactive in rectifying the causes of frustration
Output Measures:
•Deliver team in-year GM of £XM [sum of direct team target]
•Deliver team MAOV [sum of direct team target]
•Zero overdue debt > 90 days
•Colleague Development
Input Measures:
•Team pipeline to be no less than 200% of current quarter target
•Inventory documented for every allocated customer and maintained quarterly
•One face-to-face customer meeting per week, accompanying an Account Manager
The Person:
Above all you should have strong values and be absolutely passionate about what you do as you would then be joining like-minded people! Also though, the role requires someone who has sound experience of successfully managing a team of inside sales people to deliver good results consistently. Key to this would be your ability to understand how to get the best out of the people and relationships around you and how to motivate and drive your team to success. This is a full management role where you will have responsibility for the management and development of the team, conducting weekly one-to-one's, monthly team meetings and ongoing development.
