Interim Clinical Coding Manager - Clinical Coder

Clinical Coding Manager, Clinical Coding Team Leader, Senior Clinical Coder.

Our NHS Client is urgently seeking an interim Clinical Coding Manager to help with the day to day running of the department and also to assist in developing trainee Clinical Coders. A Team Leader with mentoring experience would also be considered for this interim position as long as they felt confident (and could display this in interview) about bringing forwards the junior Clinical Coders and could show previous expereice of doing so.

The post holder will report directly to the Head of Information and the job responsibilities will depend on whether an interim Clinical Coding Team Leader or an interim Clinical Coding Manager is hired. This position will run whilst a permanent Clinical Coding Manager is hired and it is envisioned that this will take at least 3 months and that a more likely outcome is that the role will continue for 6 months.

Applicants who are certified trainers and auditors will be at a distinct advantage as they will be able to put these key Clinical Coding skills to excellent use for the purposes of developing the team. Obviously Clinical Coding leadership and management skills will be crucial and must be demonstrable in interview.
