DKM IT are currently recruiting for an Interim Employment and Enterprise Manager urgently needed to work for a large local authority based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies, in conjunction with partners and stakeholders, to maximise opportunities for the local community to secure benefits from the regeneration of the area with specific emphasis on reducing unemployment. You will develop service plans and work programmes and direct and motivate team leaders to ensure the effective delivery o the service and continuous service improvement. In addition to this you will also lead and manage the Employment and Enterprise Team to provide a high quality cost effective service. You will also work closely with other managers to ensure co-ordinated service delivery and promoting the services of the directorate whilst building high level working relationships with Government, other Local Authorities, the 2012 Olympic delivery body, businesses and the third sector.
To apply for this role you must be of consultant level, having previously held responsibility of managing a team and of developing this team. You will need to have experience in Employment, and within Regeneration or Sustainability. You will be required to establish and maintain effective working relations with Central and London Government, the 2012 Olympics delivery body, other agencies and bodies and the private sector to secure maximum benefits for local communities from economic development activity, and relationship management skills are key. You must have some experience in Economic Development and have worked in a similar role to this in the past.
