Interim Head of Group Accounts

The key responsibilities of the role are to improve the accuracy of the Group accounts through the implementation of more robust procedures and working Practices.
To embed the new procedures and working practises that are required following a recent management system implementation project that is scheduled to complete in March 2010.
Assess current monthly working practices with a view to streamlining and delegating more responsibility to the overseas control
Mentor and drive the improvements in the existing group accounts team and team structure.
Group finance manager or similar of a Group with a complex, multi Country consolidation.
Strong foreign currency accounting skills and up to date knowledge of UK GAAP.
Experience of integrated accounting systems, SAP, JD Edwards, etc, and the ability to take a hands on role when require
Exceptional people skills including empathy with overseas cultures.
A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with experience of conducting Group audits and experience of working in industry, ideally training or experience within a ’Big 4’ firm
