Interim Project Director – Station Redevelopment
Berkshire - South East, Thames Valley
As one of a handful of preferred suppliers of senior staff to Network Rail, Calco Services have been engaged to source a Project Director to take charge of a major redevelopment of one of their busiest mainline stations, estimated project value £½ billion. The development programme will consist of Station Buildings Works, Heavy Civil & Structural Engineering Works, Major Telecoms, Signalling and Track Works.
With the project in its inception, the Project Director will be expected to be enthusiastic and energetic, an independent self starter, self assured with a solid background in similar multi disciplined high value projects, preferably within the rail or construction sector.
You must have a strong understanding of planning, design and construction processes with stakeholder involvement. The proven ability to anticipate project pitfalls and identify challenges and issues that may impact the overall development process.
This position requires strong organisational skills, ability to make key decisions, and manage high level process. You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally, and orally. Other attributes would include corporate governance skills, stakeholder negotiation experience, team building, persuasion, and consensus building.
