Interim Project Manager

Interim Project Manager: Logistics - £500 per day plus Expenses, based in Northampton.

Our client is an established 3PL provider specialising in warehousing, distribution and freight forwarding. Due to recent contract wins, a project manager is required to join and lead a major integration project to help coordinate and centralise several existing logistics operations.

This role will be based in the South but the project manager will be required to travel across the Midlands and the North, visiting several distribution centres and also assessing the performance of a national large scale fleet operation.

Candidates ideally should have a sound Project Management background and have ideally worked in either the 3PL or distribution sector, working in a project or programme management capacity using Prince2 or an equivalent methodology.

The Project Manager will have to coordinate a TUPE agreement and also manage an additional workflow across five distribution centres.

Candidates must have excellent project management skills and have sound stakeholder management experience. Strong communications, both spoken and written are a must, as well as a strong drive to ensure that all tasks in projects are completed to standard, budget and time.

Daily rate of up to £500 plus expenses
Duration: 6 months
Start Date: September
