Internal Audit Manager - High Tech

Our client is a high profile US listed high tech group. The group has a strong brand presence, built on their reputation for quality, innovation and reliability. Location - Thames Valley.

·Effectively manage staff of up to 10 auditors.
·Overall responsibility for project definition, completion and reporting to the audit management team. Must develop project objectives/scope and create work plans (appropriate resources, timing and approach.)
·Assign work to team members and monitor progress to successful completion.
·Supervise project team members during fieldwork and prepare staff evaluations at project close.
·Develop published audit reports and ensure ongoing tracking of the status of action items.
·Maintain effective liaison role with assigned parts of the Company.
·Contribute to departmental risk assessment process.
·Guide team in the preparation and formal presentation of issues and results.
·Lead various other departmental projects and initiatives.

Skills/Experience:
The manager role requires a practical, hands on approach. The individual must combine the ability to build relationships with the business whilst maintaining their independence and challenge. The role will require 50-60% travel around Western Europe so languages would be advantageous but not essential. An internationally recognised accountancy qualification would also be preferred.
