International Account Director

This role will involve acting as a No.2 to the Head of International running a team of 3 Campaign Managers and 3 Campaign Analysts and managing 12 clients ranging from Credit Suisse and ExxonMobil through to Barclays Global Investors and KLM.

The candidate will also be expected to work closely with other markets to help share best practice and further the network relationships.

The Department:
The International team plan and buy across European, US and Asian markets from London but also coordinate other offices implementing activity locally. This agency adopt a flexible approach to how international business is managed; some accounts are fully planned and bought from London and others are planned in London and bought in the local market. There will also be accounts where activity is planned in to the US & Asian markets from London. The team manage all channels through from branding to search and affiliate and it is necessary for this candidate to understand where these channels fit in the mix.

Key Responsibilities:

Clients:
- Develop digital communications strategies that meet the clients business needs
- Hold responsibility for a key piece of business
- Manage accounts effectively on a day to day basis
- Manage and support Campaign Managers on specific accounts

People:
- People supervision - monitor day to day aspects of junior employees work to ensure high quality output and manage the groups workload
- Set benchmarks for personal development within team
- Appraise account group and identify training needs
- Pro-actively seek to address people issues ahead of time & resolve without need for senior management
- Provide on the job training and learning opportunities for junior people

Business:
- Supervise / undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested (new business pitches, market reviews, competitive trends, etc)
- Share responsibility with management for developing new revenue streams (both current and new clients)
- Demonstrate sound understanding of online trading (potential conflicts, issues and solutions)
- Provide timely & accurate billings projections when requested
- Assist in the development of and participation in selling our services (through internal inductions, external marketing departments, etc)
- To support the GAD team in implementation of business & marketing plan when required
