ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
·Responsible for the implementation, review and update of operations policies & procedures, and submit recommendations for areas of improvement to senior management
·All external reporting - overall responsibility for the preparation and accuracy of periodic reports including:
Investors’ reports (monthly and quarterly)
DFSA interim reports
Co-investors’ monthly valuations and investment update reports
·Develop and maintain a good communication channel with all related stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the fund activities, including:
Managing relationship with fund administrator
Handling investor queries
DFSA auditors
·Develop fully integrated fund administration capabilities internally (for future use) through:
Building and maintaining the required IT and IS infrastructure
Determining, implementing and maintaining a suitable contingency plan for various areas of responsibility
Evaluating personnel needs and the quality of such personnel in the department; prepare training and career-development plans
QUALIFICATIONS
·Preferably a degree in operations management; otherwise, a degree in accounting, finance or business administration
·Four to seven years’ experience in different fund administration and operations activities, and possibly in banking middle office and operations department
·Detailed knowledge of fund administration activities and middle office operation
·Conceptual knowledge of accounting and financial reporting requirements
·Proactive individual with PC literacy, strong supervisory and administration skills
The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining working relationships with:
a)External fund administrator
b)Fund back office team
c)Fund top management and investment team
d)Compliance department
e)Limited partners and co-investors
