IT Audit Manager
Maidenhead - South East, Thames Valley
McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with a Financial Services business who are looking to strengthen their corporate Audit team. You will be a key support to the wider business performing portions of the audit work, supervising and reviewing work performed by staff auditors and presenting audit results and recommendations to management. Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinate analysis of risk in areas of assigned audit responsibility and preparing internal audit plans based on the results of the risk analysis.
Schedule planned audits and coordinate planning for specific audits.
Prepare audit programmes and approaches that meet the objectives of those audits, with a focus on internal control design and testing
Prepare audit results and conduct exit meetings to obtain management concurrence and responses
Keep Regional Director informed of audit activities
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Regional Director
Actively contribute to developing a culture of risk and control awareness throughout the organisation.
To be considered for the role you should ideally be an IT, Accounting or Finance degree-educated accountant with either the CPA, ACA, CIA or CISA qualification. A background in the profession (Top4) with supervisory experience before entering Industry would be preferred, and whilst sector experience is not a pre-requisite, someone from the Asset Management or Investment Securities arena would be a distinct advantage
You should be a pro-active problem solver with the ability to thoroughly identify and investigate issues and determine the appropriate course of action, and be able to work through contentious issues with customers in a non-confrontational style. The ability to handle confidential information and communicate clearly with individuals at a wide range of levels, plus excellent project management and team building skills are also important. There is also the potential for domestic and international travel of c30%
