Specialist IT consulting firm seeks experienced IT consultants to help deliver strategic level IT advisory services to its highly regarded clients.

This is an IT consulting firm that provides strategic level IT advisory services to major clients. It provides a range of services including IT and business operations benchmarking, outsourcing and sourcing advisory, IT operational excellence and IT transformational change advice.

It operates at the heart of IT decision making in major organisations and is involved in key areas such as applications rationalisation, IT sourcing and outsourcing, the growth in demand for IT resources, IT efficiency and Cloud Computing.

It is an international company with 30 consultants in the UK. It has an enviable client list of major organisations: 70% of FTSE 100, many major government departments.

They now wish to hire a number of people at consultant and lead consultant level. The role will involve delivering recommendations based on a practical view of IT operations, and applying a proven methodology to every new engagement, to quickly analyze the operational performance of any enterprise, both within industry sectors and against top-performing organizations. A typical engagement may involve in strategic development, operational effectiveness and efficiency, outsourcing benchmarking, risk management, infrastructure design, implementation and operation, project management, strategic application definition, development, selection, implementation and management across many industries including manufacturing, banking, insurance wholesale/distribution, public sector, aerospace and defence.

• Candidates will a have a deep IT skill set, and either have a background with a management consulting firm, or a systems integrator, or have worked for a large corporate organisation and have a wide understanding of the issues in running a large IT operation.
