IT Delivery Manager
Surrey - South East, South Central / Coast
My client is a leading life & pensions company based in Surrey. We are looking to recruit two IT Delivery Managers on a permanent basis, to act as part of the Information Services (IS) Delivery Team for its key sponsor in the Business Unit/ Cross Business Programme and the Delivery Partners (Wealth Transformation or With Profits & Sales division).
Salary: up to £65k basic
The Role
• Manage the overall delivery of IT related products and services to help customers achieve their IT strategic objectives by identifying and delivering IT solutions that enhance business process.
• Manage the demand planning, forecasting, budgeting, supply planning and prioritisation of projects within allocated business area.
• Ensure the translation of business requirements into systems specifications working in collaboration with the Business, Business Change and the Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Matrix management of the Managed Service Provider and internal IS team.
Skills & Knowledge
• Knowledge and experience of Project Management principles and in particular CPMF and Prince.
• Understanding of the end to end IT life-cycle and how IT and Systems strategy link to the business and systems strategy
• Thorough knowledge of the software development process, methodologies, tools and standards (both internal and external) for both the development and support of applications and their usage to improve cost, speed and quality of development services.
• Relationship management
• Understanding of budget and resource management.
• Supplier management and contract negotiation experience is desirable.
