IT Helpdesk / Service Desk Operator

My flourishing public sector client is currently seeking to recruit an IT Helpdesk Technician / Service Desk Operator to join them in a contracting position for a few weeks, starting on the 22nd June.

This position offers a great opportunity to build on customer facing and technical support skills, and the opportunity to gain some experience from within a supportive and well respected organisation.

The successful candidate's main responsibilities will be to act as a first line support contact for a high volume of calls with a friendly and professional manner, and to log, resolve if possible, or assign those calls to other teams within the business. They will need to be an excellent team player as they will be working within a large service desk environment.

Ideally candidates will have a good level of Service Desk, IT Support or telephone based customer
service experience. They will also be required to have a knowledge of Microsoft Applications, and any experience of working with call logging software would be beneficial.
