IT Project Manager (UK Top 50 Employer - Hospitali

Projects will be diverse and could range from an EPOS implementation or EDI through to a bespoke software development and/or an IT Change Projects which could be driven from across the various functions of the business. You will be an experienced PM and will have managed projects through the complete Project lifecycle. You will be expected to gain a thorough understanding of the business to ensure an up to date appreciation of the business issues and to work with the business to fully understand what the users have to accomplish and work with them to design information and systems that make this happen You will assist the end user to effectively exploit the system and gain a clearer understanding of the benefits and manage the full project management lifecycle process from developing the business case to implementing the solution. On occasion you will implement business process improvement initiatives to drive through changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness and to act as a catalyst for change by challenging the way things are currently done. Experience of formal project management methods, ideally Prince 2, and software development life cycles and approaches is a mandatory requirement. A desirable background would include experience of Retail or FMCG or Leisure and Hospitality.
