IT security and Quality Manager
Reading - Thames Valley
My client is an education consultancy and service organisation that provides education for the public benefit. They are looking for an IT Security and Quality Manager to join them in a 3 month contract in Reading.
The purpose of the role is to provide information security and data management plans and policies to govern the storage, retrieval, transfer, transaction and disposal of data. You will initiate and deliver a business change programme based on these information security and data management plans, and will advise, plan and implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS). Over time you will also monitor the quality and security of data and implement necessary improvements.
You will be accountable for leading efforts to comply with relevant national and international information security and data management standards, regulations, legislations and policies. You will conduct a gap analysis of information security and data management and identify and deliver a data management plan with appropriate procedures and processes in place. You will also chair a monthly ISMS group, manage training and testing for compliance accreditation and produce short user guides/handbooks and online training material for staff to assess their compliance against the data management plan.
To be successful you will need a complete current knowledge of UK and International information and data management good practice, regulations, standards and legislation. You also require experience of implementing information security and data management processes, and significant exposure to ISO27001/ISO27002 or Sarbanes-Oxley environments. Experience of working with project management and IT service delivery frameworks is also necessary, as is implementing or developing access control procedures or policies.
A full driving license is required as a reasonable amount of UK travel will be expected. Occasional overseas travel might also be required.
