IT Security Officer

My client has an exciting opening for an IT Security Officer to join their multi-national business at their corporate HQ in London. The successful applicant will be reporting directly to the Group CIO and will be a key member in a small corporate IT team operating in a decentralised structure.

Key Duties:

Develop and maintain the Group IT security strategy

Develop and update Group IT security directives, policies, standards and guidance. Manage appropriate updates and approvals via the Group IT Security Governance Board

Develop and chair an IT Security Forum to enable sharing of best practice

Oversee the Group IT security portfolio and advise on IT security initiatives

Perform IT security reviews where appropriate and ensure timely resolution of non-compliance issues defined both internally and externally

Ensure that IT Security issues are addressed properly with all 3rd parties

Development and implement security KPI monitoring and reporting

Prepare and co-ordinate IT security training and awareness initiatives

Ensure effective communication around key Group IT Security activities across the Group.

You will be educated beyond degree level and additionally hold relevant IT security qualifications.

This role will require in-depth knowledge and an excellent up-to-date insight into the IT security arena.

Experience of leading major security programmes accompanied with complex IT solutions in a variety of industries and cultures will be a distinct advantage.
