IT Transformation Programme Manager

IT Transformation Programme Manager (ERP/SAP) sought to work for a cutting edge, established company based in Oxfordshire.
This is a high profile appointment, where the successful candidates will be asked to provide evidence of devising/executing strategies that drive out significant cost and operating inefficiencies.

Responsibilities
* Devise and articulate a credible roadmap for Communication Information System Transformation, with which to engage the Customer to ensure buy-in and support to the delivery of transformational, cost-reducing change
* Determining strategies, including, targets and milestones to deliver targeted cost savings
* Identifying and securing suitably qualified and experienced technical and commercial resources to successfully implement cost recovery strategies
* Implementing a technology refresh of the CIS architecture in order to reduce hardware and associated support costs, increase system resilience and simplify current interface complexity and security restrictions
* Ensure technical design review processes are followed including effective risk planning
* Oversee the formation of a long-term supplier management strategy, capturing key strategies for outsourcing, benchmarking, replacing or scaling up of current suppliers in the pursuit of reduced operational risk and increased cost efficiency

Key Technical Skills / competencies:
* Experienced in the delivery of major IT programmes, with strong commercial acumen and capability to drive transformational change (ideally within the defence, military or aviation sectors).
* Project & Programme Management qualified professional (APM, Prince2, OGC, PMI)
* Financial & Budgetary management experience required at a programme level (£million+)
* Technically competent to oversee CIS architecture re-design and implementation, preferably with major ERP system experience, notably SAP (significant senior IT technical delivery experience)
Evidence of previous, tangible cost saving successes through IT transformation

Security
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC Clearance
