Java Coherence Team Leader required for a Top tier Investment bank based in London.

As a Java Technical Lead you will take a leadership role in the program. You will be focused on developing an end-to-end understanding of the technical requirements for the equity swap trading business and provide leadership, Project Management and technical advice to onshore and offshore teams. You will be required to gain rapid understanding of the legacy infrastructure in order to develop with existing platform to a highly delivered focused Front Office end users, Working closely with technical architect to propose future state.
To be successful in this role you will be experienced in distributed information delivery systems, in a Java/Unix environment with an Sybase database persistence layer using a Weblogic application server; have experience in developing service oriented architectures, web services, messaging and asynchronous programming models in distributed systems, including JMS implementations and in-memory data grids as well as experience in design and performance turning of Sybase database.
You will also have a hands on application support and management responsibility for the day-to-day operation of mission critical applications coupled with development and Production experience of data distributed caches (Coherence) and experience of Project Management using waterfall and agile development styles.
Candidates must be hands on coders with Java and Coherence and relevant Team leading and project Management exposure.
