UK KEY ACCOUNT SALES MANAGER
 
Our client is a world leading manufacturer with a global network of more than 150 Distributors and partners. They are a growing expansive business supplying a branded range of specialist equipment and machines used in a cross section of industries. This new role will take full responsibility for building strong working relationships with UK Rental & Hire companies. The job reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director and has measured responsibility for a £multi-million commercial operation.
 
Overall Purpose
 
Successfully develop strong relationships with owners/proprietors and senior executives within Rental/Hire companies in the UK.  
Identify new business development opportunities with these customers.
Build brand awareness and monitor competitor activity
Work closely with two main UK Distributors.
 
Key Activities
 
Achieve and exceed specific targets and KPIs as agreed with by UK Sales & Marketing Director.
Successfully identify and build upon new customer and market opportunities in order to promote the Company's business and brand.
Arrange and attend meetings with customers and potential customers in order to promote the Company at all times.
Successfully negotiate with customers, within agreed parameters, to secure orders and close deals.
Establish strong working relationships with all other departments within the Company.
Keep abreast of competitor activity.
Represent the Company at key functions such as: trade fairs, exhibitions, product launches, evening and entertainment functions.
 
Skills & experience
 
A technical aptitude - able to grasp basic technical information, features & benefits
The ability to build very strong and close working relationships, at all levels, both internally and externally
Demonstrable selling and negotiation skills
Demonstrable written and verbal presentation skills
Experienced in delivering outstanding solutions and service excellence
Previous experience within Fleet Management, Finance/HP/Leasing, Asset Management or Hire/Rental markets will be an advantage
A proven track record in relationship management in a sales capacity.
Patient, diplomatic, highly resilient and a “people person”
 
Salary
 
Circa £50k basic, £100k OTE, Car or car Allowance, All Business expenses, BUPA.
